All higher education institutions in the country must prevent corruption

Abai KazNPU is committed to combating and preventing corruption. The opening of the Parasat centre at the university has further strengthened anti-corruption activities. From the very beginning, Parasat Centre has been working on the development and implementation of an anti-corruption management system in accordance with international standards ISO-37001-2016. At the Centre`s initiative, the university developed and approved an anticorruption programme. A declaration on compliance with anti-corruption standards, conflicts of interest and anti-corruption policy and other documents have been adopted.

As a result, Eurosert International (Belgrade) conducted a certification audit and issued a certificate of compliance of the anti-corruption management system of Abai KazNPU with the requirements of ISO 37001-2016. "This noble work, started in the first university of Kazakhstan, should be continued and extended to universities throughout the country", - said the rector of Abai KazNPU Takir Balykbayev expert auditor of Eurosert Vladimir Soloviev, issuing a certificate of management system MS ISO 37001-2016. In this regard, the University and the Republican Project Office of Sanaly Urpak in Almaty held a seminar with the rectors of the city`s universities on the implementation of the anti-corruption management system in universities. Opening the seminar, Rector T. Balykbayev spoke about anti-corruption measures implemented at the University and the experience of passing international standards.

Kambar Usipov, Director of the Parasat Centre, shared his experience in the structural unit he heads. Kairzhan Tokishev, Director of the Republican Project Office of "Sanali Urgak" in Almaty, highly appreciated the work done at the Abai KazNPU and said that this experience should be studied by all universities of the country. Anatoly Banduro, Director of the consulting company on implementation of ISO, explained what documents should be prepared for joining the international standard. Anti-corruption expert C. Nurgisaev gave the seminar participants many valuable tips.
