Anti-corruption policy was discussed at Abai University

On September 5, 2024, a meeting was held at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay on the topic “Anti-corruption policy.” The event was organized by the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Anti-Corruption in Almaty and the Committee on Youth Affairs together with the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service of the University.

The event was attended by the first deputy head of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Anti-Corruption in Almaty Zharkyn Galymov, the head of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service Kurmangazy Madiev, the vice-rector for social development Maksat Zhakauov, as well as about 300 students from seven faculties of the university.
During his speech, Zharkyn Galymov explained to students the concept and types of corruption, its history and the reasons contributing to corruption offenses.
He presented best practices in the field of legal literacy and focused on issues of transparency, integrity and effective anti-corruption, especially in the context of educational and teaching activities. Specific examples of practices to prevent corruption abroad were also given and the work carried out in the country was described. At the end of his speech, Zharkyn Galymov wished the students success in their studies.
