From October 28 to November 7, 2024, at the Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University, as part of the work plan of the anti-corruption compliance service for the current year, meetings were held with students on the topic “Formation and prevention of anti-corruption culture.” The event was held with the participation of all students from seven faculties of the university and the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute.
The goal is to promote and develop an anti-corruption worldview among students, develop the ability to correctly evaluate both positive and negative actions, and cultivate honesty and truthfulness.
During the meeting, the head of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service of the University, Kurmangazy Madiyev, explained the goals and objectives set for the compliance service, and also spoke about the anti-corruption reforms being carried out in the country, including those that directly affect the activities of higher education institutions.
The speaker also spoke about the main provisions of the Concept of Anti-Corruption Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026, innovations in anti-corruption legislation, academic integrity among students, the inadmissibility of corruption in the educational process and during exams, as well as the principle of zero tolerance for corruption offenses.
During the meeting, videos on anti-corruption topics were shown, and seminar participants received comprehensive answers to their questions.
