Formation of an anti-corruption culture

On February 26, 2026, a seminar for the teaching staff was held at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, on the topic: "Formation of Anti-Corruption Culture."

The aim of the event was to strengthen the principles of academic integrity in the educational process, prevent corruption risks and offenses, and raise legal awareness among teachers.

During the seminar, the head of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service at Abai University, Kurmangazy Madiev, introduced the participants to the main directions of anti-corruption policy implemented at the university. In particular, issues were discussed related to ensuring transparency in the educational process, preventing illegal monetary compensation and gift-giving, as well as fostering a fair and conscientious academic environment among both faculty and students.

Additionally, the participants were briefed on the mechanisms for identifying and preventing corruption risks in the field of education. Special attention was given to the importance of adhering to the principles of academic integrity, professional ethics, legality, and conscientious performance of official duties.

Such events contribute to the formation of an open and transparent educational environment at the university, based on trust and intolerance toward manifestations of corruption.
